Listing Creation

Adding new listings to Plum Guide

Plum Guide is a curated platform; we grade and vet all listings sent to us and will only accept listings that meet our quality standards.

Submission process:

  1. Send your listing using the POST Listing endpoint with all available content data
  2. We will return a listing ID
  3. The listing is temporarily stored while it undergoes our grading and vetting process

Important: Listing approval is not immediate

Your listing must pass our quality review before you can send pricing and availability data. This process takes time—attempting to push ARI data to a listing that hasn't been approved will return a 403 Forbidden status code.

How to check if your listing has been approved:

  • Poll the GET Host's Listings endpoint (/v2/listings) regularly (recommended: every 24 hours) to see which of your listings have passed vetting and are ready to receive data.
  • Once a listing appears in GET Host's Listings, you can:
    • View the full listing details via the GET Listing endpoint
    • Send pricing and availability data using any of our ARI endpoints

Adding existing listings that are on the Plum Guide.

All hosts have access to their credentials which consist of a Client ID and Client Secret (note these are different from credentials used to login to www.plumguide.com). Each set of credentials gives access to all the Listings belonging to the host.

These credentials can then be entered into a Property Management System or Channel Manager to gain access to all the listings. Once credentials are entered typically a matching process will begin whereby the host will identify the Plum Guide Listing and match it against the property in their software.

We surface a number of data points to help the host with the matching process. However, it's up to the Property Management System or Channel Managers discretion on what information to surface on their software to aid in this process.
