Types of Discount

Length of Stay

These discounts are applied when the length of stay for a booking reaches the threshold set within the discount. These discounts can be applied to all future bookings or restricted to certain dates, such as low or high season.

Typically, discounts created without dates are regular Weekly or Monthly discounts.

Early Bird

This discount is applied when the booking is made more than 90 days in advance.

Last Minute

This discount is applied when the booking is made less than 5 days in advance.

Discount Combinations

As multiple discounts can be active and apply to the same booking, Plum Guide will choose which discounts to apply based on the following rules. The rules are based on the Discount Groups

Applying Discount Combinations

For each day in the booking the following logic will be applied when multiple discounts are available for that day.

Discount Group 1	Discount Group 2	Result
Time of Booking	Length of Stay	If the booking is eligible for both a time of booking discount and a length of stay discount, we will apply both discounts. For example, if you have a weekly discount of 10% and an early-bird discount of 15%, we will apply 25% off.
Time of Booking	Custom	If the booking is eligible for both a time of booking discount and a custom discount, we will apply both discounts
Length of Stay	Custom	If the booking is eligible for a length of stay discount and a custom discount, we will apply the custom discount to the nights within the custom discount date range and we will apply the length of stay discount to the nights outside the custom date range.
Custom	Custom	If the booking is eligible for two custom discounts, we will apply both discounts. If both discounts overlap, we will use the discount with the longest length of stay and then discount percentage.
